How it started

In 1901, the farm on the Ruige Weide was rebuilt by the Streng Family.

Grandpa van den Brink started on the farm as a servant and was then allowed to take over the farm from the bachelor aunts in 1923.

The story

Cor van den Brink, born in 1936, continued the farm and, together with his wife Agatha van den Brink-deRoos started making cheese.

The farm has now been run by the van den Brink family for more than 100 years.

In 2016, the family decided to do more with the farm than just supply milk to the cooperative.

Several scenarios as a second branch have been considered and it has become making yoghurt.

First we started with a small pasteurizer for yoghurt preparation to try it out. And it worked!

In the battle for the tastiest dairy in the Netherlands, Rofmeddow won the Cum Laude prize in the Hangop category in 2017. A nice fourth place was achieved in the yogurt category. This was a pleasant surprise for the family and gave them energy to continue. The small pasteurizer was replaced by a variant with a 300 liter capacity.

Part of the milk production is now processed into yoghurt, curds, custard, buttermilk and chocolate milk and pasteurized milk. And what a brand!

Rofmeddow dairy products are always made from the freshest milk.

When Arjan milks the cows, the fresh milk is collected directly in the pasteurizer and Marielle processes it into a final product. So milk from the milked cow in the morning, on the shelf in the afternoon/evening. Wonderful, right!?

The milk is always pasteurized before it goes into the packaging as a final product.
